Council Meetings and Public Participation

As of August 25, 2021, in conjunction with the Province of British Columbia's mandatory mask mandate:

The Town of Smithers will be conducting all Council meetings via Zoom. These meetings will be livestreamed on Facebook. Thank you for your understanding.

If you wish to speak to an item on the Regular Meeting of Council agenda, you may do so via Zoom, during the Public Comment Period at the beginning of the meeting for a maximum of three minutes. Please contact Duncan Malkinson, Director of Corporate Services, email: dmalkinson@smithers.ca by 4:00 p.m the Monday before the meeting, to obtain a Zoom meeting link.

If you wish to be added as a Delegation, please fill out an application form and return by email to front@smithers.ca, or in person at Town Hall, 1027 Aldous Street or by fax at 847-1601. You can also contact Corporate Services for assistance at 847-1600. Requests to appear as a Delegation before Council must be received by Corporate Services by 4:30 p.m. of the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting.
