Multiplex Feasbility Study 2009-2010

In January of 2009, Town Council approved the undertaking of a feasibility/business plan for a possible future recreation multiplex. In August of 2009, the contract was awarded to Bruce Carscadden Architect Ltd. In November of 2009, six focus groups were held with various sport/recreation provider groups and with Town Council. In Februrary of 2010, the consultants returned to the Town with four options. In late March of 2010, the consultants will return with two options for consideration by Council and Public Consultation. At the end of April 2010, Bruce Carscadden Architect Ltd. will provide a feasibility/business plan final report detailing a preferred option for a Smithers Multiplex Recreation facility.
