Agendas

Council holds its Regular Meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, unless otherwise noted, in the Municipal Hall at 1027 Aldous Street, beginning at 7:30pm. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings and is invited to provide comment at the end of each meeting. The agenda for the next Regular Meeting of Council is usually posted online at least 24 hours before the meeting start time. Agendas will stay online until such time as the minutes for that meeting have been adopted and posted on the minutes web page.

At Regular Council Meetings, the Mayor, or in the Mayor's absence, the Deputy Mayor, is the Chair and directs the meeting. On any issue, every Councillor is entitled to speak to the issue. At times, Council will ask members of Senior Staff for their advice on an issue.

Prior to the close of a meeting, the Mayor may ask for a motion to exclude the public from an upcoming Special In-Camera meeting. If this motion is approved, only the Council and selected staff members are allowed to attend the meeting and issues to be discussed must be included under Section 90 of the Community Charter. Topics that may be discussed in-camera include requests made under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, personnel information, land and legal issues, litigation against the municipality, labour relations, and other issues.
