Air Quality Advisory

As a result of a major industrial fire on Tatlow Road in Smithers, air quality is poor. Poor air quality can be harmful to your health, especially for children, older adults, and those with heart and lung conditions. Those with underlying medical conditions are advised to stay indoors.

Reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors, especially if you experience symptoms such as coughing and throat irritation.

Staying indoors and in air conditioned spaces helps to reduce fine particulate exposure.

For more information on what to do, go to www.gov.bc.ca/BC Air Quality  or Health Link BC.
