POSITION TITLE: Utility Operator I

HOURLY RATE: Utility Operator I $32.64 (2023)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Utility Operator I assists in the installation maintenance and repair of utilities including sanitary sewers and storm sewers, drainage culverts and ditches, water and sewage treatment, water distribution systems.
Qualifications include:
- High school graduation;
- Level I Water Distribution-EOCP, Level I Wastewater Collection; Level I Wastewater Treatment, Chlorine Handling;
- Level 1 First Aid, WHMIS;
- Confined Space Entry;
- Minimum one year of experience in wastewater systems and installation/maintenance of municipal services;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
