POSITION TITLE:     Equipment Operator-II
DEPARTMENT:         Operations
HOURS OF WORK:   Full-time – 40 hours a week

HOURLY RATE:   $36.96


GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Equipment Operator-II operates a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools within the Works and Operations department. They are also responsible for various maintenance and repair functions.


QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum 2 years experience with backhoes, vacuum trucks, dump trucks, loaders, chainsaws, power tools, street sweepers, snowplows, etc.;
•Valid BC Drivers License Class 3 with Air;
•Highschool Graduation;
•Level 1 First Aid;
•WHMIS;
•Chainsaw Safety Training;
•Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Desirable certifications and training:
o Confined Space Entry;
o Lift Truck Training;
oSafe Excavation Training.
