POSITION TITLE:    Human Resource Manager
HOURS OF WORK:    Full-Time Temporary Term Coverage (12-18 months)
SALARY:     $93,698 - $104,498 (commensurate with experience)

About this opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Human Resources Manager provides technical support and advice for all human resource functions, including recruitment, job evaluation/classification, training and development, employee relations, union relations and compliance with the corporate health and safety program.

The Human Resources Manager plays a central role in fostering a positive organizational culture, aligning human resource practices with organizational goals, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements, and best practices.

This position offers a competitive salary of $93,698 - $104,498 (commensurate with experience).

Essential Qualifications Include:
• Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public
Administration, or a related field. A combination of equivalent education and
experience may be considered.
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human
resources management, preferably in a unionized and/or public sector
environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, collective agreements, and HR
best practices.
•  Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License.
