Council Meetings and Public Participation
As of July 1, 2021, in conjunction with the Province of British Columbia's Step 3 of the BC COVID-19 Restart Plan:
The Town of Smithers is now welcoming the public to attend all local government meetings and public hearings in person at the Municipal Hall.
If you wish to speak to an item on the Regular Meeting of Council agenda, you may do so in person, during the Public Comment Period at the beginning of the meeting for a maximum of three minutes.
If you wish to be added as a Delegation, please fill out an application form and return by email to email@example.com, or in person at Town Hall, 1027 Aldous Street or by fax at 847-1601. You can also contact Corporate Services for assistance at 847-1600. Requests to appear as a Delegation before Council must be received by Corporate Services by 4:30 p.m. of the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting.
