At its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, Smithers Town Council approved an amendment to the Active Transportation Plan (ATP) to include the Fulton Avenue - Cycle 16 Connector Multi-Use Pathway. The revised map titled Future Cycling Network, shows the Fulton Avenue corridor connecting to and along Tatlow Road North, then onto a separated and safer trail adjacent to Highway 16 that will link to the recently constructed Cycle 16 Phase 1 project.
The ATP sets the foundation for developing well-connected, attractive active transportation networks that are safe, convenient, and accessible for people of all ages and abilities.
