In accordance with Sections 224 and 227 of the Community Charter, Council of the Town of Smithers is proposing to adopt "Bylaw 1938 2022-2024 Permissive Taxation Exemptions Amendment No. 1” at their September 27, 2022, Regular Council meeting.
The properties to receive amended permissive taxation exemptions for the 2023-2024 taxation (calendar) years are detailed in Bylaw 1938. Information can be found on the Town’s website and Facebook account or can be obtained at the Smithers Town Office at 1027 Aldous Street, Smithers, BC.
