What is an Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw?

An Official Community Plan (OCP) sets the community’s shared vision for future development, while the Zoning Bylaw establishes development/land use standards that will enable the community to achieve its shared vision.

What is the purpose of this Public Hearing?

The OCP and Zoning Bylaw review project started in the summer of 2021. The draft updated OCP and zoning bylaw documents presented here were prepared based on the feedback received through a wide range of engagement activities conducted over a period of last 12 months. This public hearing will be the last opportunity for community members and/or stakeholders to provide final comments on the proposed bylaw documents.
