Request for Quotation Contract COM25-01 – Smithers Public Library and Community Space Development Plan

Closing Date: 4:00 pm Friday, September 26, 2025The Town of Smithers is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare a preliminary development plan for the redevelopment of 3761 3rd Avenue. The Smithers Public Library will be the main tenant, with the potential for the facility to also include other community spaces. The purpose of this plan is to identify the most feasible and sustainable mix of uses for the facility, to establish a functional program informed by community input, to evaluate the infrastructure requirements of the building, and to develop a range of options with preliminary cost estimates.
The outcome of the plan will be a comprehensive report that provides the Town with clear options and recommendations, positioning it to pursue funding opportunities and take informed steps toward implementation.
