Dates of operation

Campground Operational Dates: May 15 - October 1, 2025

Reservations can only be made up until 3 days prior to arrival date. After the 3-day reservation cutoff sites are only available on a first-come, first-served basis. By combining both reservation and first-come, first-served polices we aim to provide a fair and balanced system for all campers while allowing us to manage our campground capacity efficiently.

Account Login
You cannot make a reservation within 3 days of your expected arrival. If you are looking to stay within this 3 day window, please make your way down to the campground on the date you are looking to stay. Campsites will then be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Check-in time is 1PM. Check-out time is 11AM. No early check-ins or late check-outs.
Full payment of camping fees is required to secure a reservation. Reservation holders must be at least 19 years of age and are responsible for the actions of all party members.
Riverside Municipal Campground will not be responsible for allocating multiple sites to those in your group, that will be the responsibility of the group coordinator/reservation holder.
Cash, debit or credit card is accepted. We do not accept American Express or cheques. Canadian currency is required.
While booking through our online reservation portal, all campers must make an account to complete the booking process. If you are having trouble with your account, password, etc. please email campground@smithers.ca.
- The campground gates are closed daily from 11pm-7am.
- Open fires in designated fire pits only. Please attend your campfire at all times and ensure it is fully extinguished.
- All pets must be on a leash, please pick up after your pet.
- Excessive noise is not permitted, quiet time begins at 10pm. This includes running generators.
- Alcohol is prohibited in the campground with the exception of your campsite.
- Dirt bikes and ATV's are prohibited.
- Please refrain from cleaning fish at the campground as it attracts wildlife.
- Shower House - equipped with showers and flush toilets. Free showers are available on-site.
- Outhouses - for both campers and day users
- Firewood - available for $10/bundle

- Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and a fire pit
Serviced sites: Water, sewer and electrical hookups (either 15amp or 30amp)
Unserviced sites: No hookups, flat pad designed for RV's/tent trailers
Tent sites: No hookups, grassy/flat area designed for tents only
Sites vary between 50-65 ft in length, we do not have pull through sites.

• 6 people maximum per site
Full Service/Unserviced Sites
- 1 trailer unit and 1 tent, or
- two tents
Only one trailer unit allowed per site.
Tent Sites
• 2 tents per site
Vehicles
• 1 vehicle per tent site
• 2 vehicles per unserviced site
• 2 vehicles per full service site
Parking
Parking is limited within the campground, please talk with Campground Host if you need assistance about where to park, including day parking.

Coming from Prince George (East)
Follow Hwy-16 West >> Turn right onto 19th Ave >> Quick right onto Victoria Dr >> Follow to end of Drive and turn left onto Main St >> Quick right onto 19th Ave >> Follow to the end of the road and you will arrive at the Campground (3843 19th Avenue, Smithers BC V0J 2N0)
