POSITION TITLE:    Human Resource Advisor
HOURS OF WORK:    Full-Time Temporary Term Coverage (12-18 months)
SALARY:     $81,001.80 – $93,698.00 (commensurate with experience)

About this opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Human Resources Advisor provides technical support and advice for human resources functions including recruitment, job classification, training and development, employee relations, union relations, and health and safety. The Human Resources Advisor plays a central role in fostering a positive organizational culture and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders.

This position offers a competitive salary of $81,001.80 – $93,698.00 (commensurate with experience).

Essential Qualifications Include:
• Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in human resources, business administration, management, psychology, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation (preferred).
• 2 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a public sector or unionized environment.
• Local Government experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of relevant labor law, employment and human rights legislation.
• Experience in leading Occupational Health and Safety programs is an asset.
• Valid B.C. Class 5 License.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
