POSITION TITLE:    Utility Operator IV (Supervisor)
HOURS OF WORK:    Full-time – Forty (40) hours per week
HOURLY RATE:    $42.34

The Town of Smithers has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join the team as a Utilities Supervisor. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Utility Operator IV (Supervisor) is responsible for supervising and participating in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the water supply and distribution system (including the Airport Water System) and the wastewater treatment and collection system.

Qualifications include:

• Level II Water Distribution – EOCP
• Level II Wastewater Collection
• Level I Wastewater Treatment
• Chlorine Handling
• Valid BC Drivers License Class 3
• Highschool Graduation
• Level 1 First Aid
• Confined Space Entry
• Supervisory and Leadership Skills
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
