During the Spring Clean-up Week of April 22nd - 26th, 2024, the Town of Smithers Works and Operations will pick up extra refuge residential garbage on your regular scheduled garbage day.
Garden pruning’s must be bundled & tied, and no longer than 4 feet in length.
Items that will not be picked up include recyclables, compostable materials, appliances, batteries, tires, and paint.
For your convenience, leaves, grass clippings and other compostable materials (No branches) can be dropped off year-round at the Works Yard compost site, at 2888 - 19th Avenue.
Smithers Fire Rescue would like to remind residents that the Town of Smithers Open Burning Bylaw No. 1155 prohibits any open burning of domestic waste, garden refuse, garbage, land clearing or noxious materials.
