Terus Construction Public Notice: Paving Operations – Princess Street
The Town of Smithers will begin paving operations on Princess Street starting Saturday, November 1st, at the south end of the project near Fulton Avenue. Work will progress uphill toward 16th Avenue and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, November 4th.
We kindly ask residents and visitors to take note of the following important information:
Traffic & Access
- Trucks delivering hot mix asphalt will access the work zone via:
- Southbound: 11th, 12th, & 13th Avenues
- Northbound: 14th, 15th, 16th, & 17th Avenues
- Driveway access will be maintained, but please be aware:
- When fresh asphalt is placed in front of driveways, crews require time for compaction and cooling.
- This may result in temporary delays of up to 30 minutes before vehicles can safely access driveways.
Parking Restrictions
- On-street parking will be prohibited for the entire duration of paving operations.
- Do not park on newly paved surfaces unless explicitly approved by onsite project personnel.
Special Considerations
- Residents with specific access needs or concerns are encouraged to speak directly with onsite project personnel or contact the Town of Smithers to arrange accommodations.
