BC Housing is proposing to build a 40-unit supportive housing development at 3895, 3887 & 3879 Alfred Avenue in Smithers.
The proponent has submitted a request to rezone the subject parcels from C-1A Downtown Commercial Zone to CD-1 Comprehensive Development 1 Zone.
We're looking for community feedback on steps we're taking to improve child care in Smithers. We invite you to the Virtual Gathering on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 7pm - 8pm via Zoom.

The Town of Smithers is hosting an information session for individuals who may be interested in becoming a member of Council. The information evening will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Smithers Municipal Hall, 1027 Aldous Street, Smithers, BC. Attendees will receive an overview regarding the operations of the Municipality, the responsibilities of Council, the required time commitments, remuneration and more.
